We, Indians celebrate 26th January as republic day as on 26th January 1950 Indian constitution came into existence. On 15th August 1947, India got independence thus Republic of India celebrate 15th August as Independence day.
Formal Name of India, Bharat, Hindustan is Republic of India. The official Sanskrit name of India is Bharat.
Republic Day and Independence day, both are the National Holidays and both have their significance.
On 26th January 2022, Republic of India is celebrating 73rd Republic Day with great parade of Indian Army with national flag hoisting all over the schools, colleges, govt. offices of the India. Cultural events, programs organized every year all over India which shows the struggle for freedom of freedom fighters.
The national slogan of Indian constitution is "Satyamev Jayate" i.e. Truth Always Wins.
The Constitution of India is the longest constitution written in the world which consists 1,46,385 words in English language. The Constitution of Monaco is the smallest one with only 3814 words.
Significance of date 26th January is that on this date in 1930 Indian National Congress demanded the Purna Swaraj i.e. Full or Complete Freedom.
In true sense Constitution of India gives every Indian freedom by giving 6 fundamental rights i.e. the right to equality, the right to freedom, the right against exploitation, the right to freedom of religion, the right of cultural and educational, the right of constitutional remedies.
